Sendhwa was separated from Barwani parish and was made a parish in1963. Fr. Henry Wichelmann SVD was the first parish priest. It was by his hard work Sendhwa became as we see it today. In 1970 the Sisters of the Community of Lay Missionaries joined the parish. In 1972 the Augustinian sisters took over the work from them.
