Nalwat, an out station of Sanawad parish with a good number of tribal Catholics, was raised to parish in 1984 and Fr. Nicholas Jez was given the charge as the first Parish priest. In July 1989 the sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint Marc joined the parish community and are involved in the pastoral activities of the parish
