It was Fr. Carmino Menezes who started Khargone parish in 1968. Previous to the erection of this it was an outstation of Barwani .Late Rev. Frs. William Wuellner and Francis Alvares with Sr. Kathy Hauser were taking care of the spiritual needs of the Catholic population. It was in 1976 the Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels began their work in the parish. Later in July 1989 the Dominican Sisters of Presentation joined the parish community. Today they are engaged in educational activities of the Parish.
