The Franciscan Brothers (CMSF) operating from Aulia did the pioneering mission work among the Dalit community at Pandhana. In 1913 a chapel was built at Pandhana for the developing community and in 1937 the mission was handed over to SVD missionaries. Fr. Theodore MSFS was the first resident Priest. In 1974 the CMC sisters began their mission at Pandhana Parish and are involved in the pastoral and educational activities of the Parish.
